Will Power Rebuilding
Will power. We don’t want to actually look at that word as it feels like work! But what can one achieve without strength of will? Picture the child learning to walk. If she didn’t have the determination to keep struggling following the first few falls, she would be desperately walk lamely all her life. We grown-ups must approach our own problems with such will power. What we believe is probable appears to become more and more improbable to us as we go through life. Many of us are likely to put additional faith in our own failures instead of our own successes.
Our minds function like a navigation system and however we program our navigation system turns out to be our own reality. A lot of what we observe may not even be what is in fact the issue, but just the fact that we see through the lens of our own principles. Remember the story of the man who was mistakenly locked into a cooled railroad car? He died after one night, although the refrigeration was not functioning. Because he assumed it was… his brain caused him to freeze to death.
If we have failed before, we program that into our navigation system and the chances of failure in the subsequent venture multiply, depending upon how we look at failure. If we insist upon looking at failure as the end of the road, then disappointments turns out to be a routine. But, if we look upon failure as merely a route that didn’t succeed, then we can stay on the road until we succeed. Where there’s a will there’s a way. This is a reality in most cases.
Developing will power is simply altering your principles regarding your own willingness to follow your ambition whatever it may be. Get a psychological list. If your judgements and ideas seem to perceive you as having no determination, then begin working to modify those ideas.
Together you can build self confidence regarding your will power by keeping small promises to yourself. Negative ideas about yourself can be erased by building up little achievements.
Like the child learning to walk, envision yourself walking, imagine yourself accomplishing that which you need the willpower to accomplish, and you will soon be walking through the obstacles towards your goal.

The Journey To Save A Marriage After An Emotional Affair
The prospects of pulling a couple together after the shock of an emotional affair are complicated. The level of emotions involved are tripled because the person in the affair has lingering feelings outside the marriage, and the person who was cheated on feels even more hurt than if the affair were purely physical in nature. So, what exactly can be done to save a marriage after this mess has been created?
The problem is not so much the affair, but the “emotional” part. Affairs of the body happen every day and many marriages recover from that shock much easier than most would expect. Yet, when one person has a real intimate connection with someone other than their spouse it is much harder to set aside and move on.
The first part of the journey lies with the spouse who actually had the affair. They must do some serious introspection to determine where their feelings truly lie. Is their heart still with this other person, or are their emotions for their spouse more intense? The emotions connected to the affair must be completely put out or at least seriously dampened if the marriage is to have a fighting chance.
Given that the affair is officially over, that outside emotional connection has been broken, or at least the person is sure that their feelings for their spouse are much more intense than the bond of the affair, then the next scenario moves to the spouse that was cheated on.
If one person is willing to let go of a deep emotional connection to someone else, then the second person needs to be open to actively rekindling trust and ultimately a deeper emotional connection between the couple. If either person is not willing to let go and reinvest in the relationship then it will never work.
Once both people are on board and ready to move forward, then a period of time will be needed to restore an intimate connection with one another. Trust will have to slowly build up again. The marriage may never go back to exactly where it was before the emotional affair, but an even stronger bond can be formed and a new sense of happiness brought to life.
The journey to save a marriage after this type of devastation must start with open communication. There are lots of hurt emotions at this point, but screaming or getting violent will not work. Both people must talk from the heart and really listen to one another. Then it’s up to each person to take action on a daily basis to restore the flame that they once had for one another. This is not an overnight process, but it can in fact lead to an even happier marriage than what they experienced before the affair.
